Our Founders
The Soundside Group was founded in 2000 by Alice Winslow and Mark Hendrix, colleagues who had worked together at Weyerhaeuser's Pulp and Paper Complex in Plymouth, NC. Alice led on the software side, Mark on the hardware side, and together they built a reputation for technical excellence and exceptional customer service. Recognizing an unmet need in the region, they left Weyerhaeuser to launch The Soundside Group, combining their complementary expertise to bring enterprise-grade technology to businesses and municipalities across Eastern North Carolina. Both have since passed, and their legacy lives on in the team and the mission they established.

Bethany Hoomani, President
Bethany Hoomani inherited The Soundside Group from her mother, Alice Winslow, and leads the company as President. Before stepping into this role, Bethany built a career in the pharmaceutical industry managing multi-million dollar contracts — experience that informs her sharp focus on operations, accountability, and client relationships. The company's technical operations continue to be led by its experienced team of certified professionals, and Bethany is committed to honoring the foundation her mother and Mark Hendrix built, ensuring The Soundside Group remains a reliable, long-term partner for the organizations it serves across Eastern North Carolina.
